Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how KeyCrypto ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you interact with KeyCrypto Wallet services available through Telegram, our websites, and related products (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information to operate the Services and to comply with legal obligations:
- Account & authentication data: Telegram user identifier, profile name, and metadata required to authenticate you to the bot.
- Wallet & transaction data: Public wallet addresses, transaction history (on-chain data), timestamps and amounts for transactions you initiate.
- Payment data: When you use on-ramp/off-ramp services we collect payment information provided to our payment partners (e.g., card information, bank details), but sensitive payment data is handled directly by our payment processors and not stored on our servers unless required and explicitly disclosed.
- Technical & device data: IP address, browser or client type, device identifiers, operating system, language settings, and crash logs to improve reliability and security.
- Usage & support data: Commands you send to the bot, support messages, logs of errors and interactions needed for troubleshooting and customer service.
- Optional profile data: Information you choose to provide such as an email address for notifications, KYC documents if you elect to use services that require identity verification.
We do not collect seed phrases or unencrypted private keys. Private key material is generated and encrypted using Web3Auth flows; see the "Security" section for details.
How we use your information
- Provide and operate the Services: Generate wallets, sign transactions, route payments to on-ramp partners, and manage your experience in the Telegram bot.
- Security & fraud prevention: Detect and prevent malicious activity, secure access, and mitigate fraud and abuse.
- Legal & compliance: Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests by public authorities, and perform KYC/AML checks where required by local regulations.
- Support & communication: Respond to inquiries, send important account or service messages, and provide customer support.
- Research & analytics: Improve the product by analyzing usage patterns (aggregated/anonymized where possible).
Sharing and disclosure
We may share your information in the following situations:
- Service providers: With trusted third parties who provide services on our behalf (payment processors, analytics providers, cloud hosting, and security services).
- On-chain transparency: Transaction data on public blockchains is visible to anyone by design; we do not — and cannot — make on-chain transactions private.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or government request.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the new owner under appropriate protections.
We will not sell your personal information for advertising purposes.
Security
We design KeyCrypto with security best practices: private keys are generated and encrypted via Web3Auth flows; private key material is not transmitted in the clear. Transport-level encryption (HTTPS / TLS) is used for all network traffic. Access controls, monitoring, and routine security reviews reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
Despite our efforts, no system can be entirely risk-free. You can help by keeping your Telegram account secure, enabling device-level protection, and opting into encrypted backups when offered.
Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data category (for example, transaction records may be retained longer for compliance; support logs for a shorter period).
Cookies and tracking
Our website and related services may use cookies and similar technologies to operate essential features, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings; note that disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to certain processing. EEA / UK residents have GDPR protections and can exercise rights by contacting us (see "Contact" below).
To make a request we may need to verify your identity for security reasons. We will respond to verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law.
Children
Our Services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International transfers
KeyCrypto is a global service. Personal data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your country of residence. We safeguard international transfers through standard contractual clauses or other legal mechanisms where required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal or regulatory changes. When we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Services or by email where applicable. The "Effective date" above indicates when this policy became effective.
